Our History

ExtendedStayHomes.com was established in 2001 primarily to market the founding partners’ furnished extended stay lodging properties in New Jersey. ExtendedStayHomes.com was an immediate success and soon had more interested tenants than rental properties (a wonderful problem to have!). In order to satisfy our corporate clients’ demands for our uniquely furnished and distinctly decorated corporate lodging properties, we began to list other owners’ distinguished furnished properties on our website. These Affiliated Properties along with our franchised properties create the ExtendedStayHomes.com distinguished furnished housing network. Not all furnished extended stay lodging properties can become Affiliated Properties; only those properties which conform to ExtendedStayHomes.com’s values and standards of furnished extended stay lodging. In 2005, we launched our network representing distinguished furnished properties throughout the United States.

Our Founding Partners

Bruce Cebula and Jennifer Samson, Ph.D. (husband & wife) have over 35 years of combined experience in all aspects of real estate, property management and tenant relations. We created the ExtendedStayHomes.com franchise after several years of being personally involved in every aspect of owning, managing and operating our furnished corporate lodging properties. From this hands-on experience, we know what makes a temporary home comfortable, convenient and stress-free. After all, anyone can create a website, but it takes people to interact with our tenant guests, contractors and vendors to ensure everyone is satisfied...it takes people to identify prime housing locations... it takes people to inspect, furnish and decorate properties...it takes people to assist in relocation efforts... Only people can provide the effective hands-on management demanded by this business. At ExtendedStayHomes.com, we have created and established values, standards and operational systems for our people and our networked properties. Our values outline our minimum standards and our systems insure our standards are being achieved. It is this personal attention that makes our network of furnished corporate lodging properties superior to all others.

Bruce E. Cebula, managing member, licensed New Jersey real estate broker with JB Properties & Co., LLC, REALTORS®, licensed Florida real estate broker and property manager, has been actively involved in the investment, brokerage, management and development real estate business since 1987. He has owned, brokered, managed, leased and developed various types of residential, multifamily, retail, office, and industrial properties. Since 1998, Bruce has specialized in furnished corporate housing properties. Bruce graduated from the University of Florida (B.S.B.A., 1987).

Jennifer C. Samson, Ph.D., member, has been actively involved in real estate investments, property management and tenant relations since 1989 when she purchased her first investment property, a property still owned and managed today. She is Director of the Decorating & Design Department. Jenni received her Ph.D. in Biology (’02) from Rutgers University, Newark, NJ; her M.S. in Biology (’96) from the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL and her B.S. in Biology (’93) from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA. She provides scientific advisement for the non-profit Clean Ocean Action in Sandy Hook, NJ.
